The "EOS" cooperative was founded in 2010. It consists of a group of young people motivated to help the disadvantaged persons to raise the quality of social life. EOS was founded on the principles of mutuality. It is a public benefit organization that accomplishes its goals with actions of prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and social integration, through the management of social services, health, education and culture. The organizational structure of the centrum is formed by different areas of intervention that includes services and specific activities.

Description of planned activities:
The activities have an important role in the local community, particularly for disadvantaged children. EVS volunteers will gain an enriching experience for their personal and professional growth. The project represents an excellent opportunity for young volunteers to get to know new cultures, new languages and gain new skills through non-formal education methods.
Volunteers during their period of activity will have the opportunity to prove their abilities to work with disadvantaged children in a different cultural context and to bring their experience and culture within the activities. Volunteers will be involved in the implementation of planned activities and will have the opportunity to develop personal projects with the help and support of the team. They will have the opportunity to enrich their skills and experience, testing their organizational and interpersonal skills. At the end, they will make their own Youth Pass, with the aim of certifying the acquired skills and use them in their future educational and career path.
The project promotes the European values, respect of diversity, human rights, participation and active citizenship. Volunteers will bring benefit to the social and cultural context of the local community and daily activities.
The first phase of the project is dedicated to getting to know the structure of the center, the second part is an observation period and the third is a phase of full integration in the activities. In each phase, the volunteers will join professional educators in the implementation of planned and will be engaged in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the following activities:
- Linguistic and intercultural workshops;
- Sports projects and moving activities,
- Practical manual workshops, art, creativity, music and drama and pet therapy activities for the development of personality and manual skills;
- Informatics workshops and digital literacy;
- Gardening activities and workshops about healthy way of life and nutrition;
- Projection of short movies and / or movies about various social issues, followed by discussion and exchange of view among the participants;
- Civic education, sexual and emotional: non-formal, structured and video projections
- Socialization - outdoor activities, guided tours etc.;
- Events connected with visibility, fundraising.

Upendi is an educational center in Gravina in Puglia, opened in 2010. The center consists of young professionals in pedagogy, artistic shows and circus, engaged at the social integration of children at risk, the promotion of culture and art in all its forms, aggregation of the youth through recreational activities. Upendi is a meeting place of social and cultural interests, fulfilling the social function of human and civil growth, through the idea promoting how important music, reading and literary is, and especially broadcasting and disseminating the philosophy of the smile, the humor and self-mockery.
Upendi offers afternoon classes to support children in their studies, as well as circus classes, theatre workshops, workshops for parents about various topics, summer camps and more.
The European volunteers will be involved in daily activities and will help to create an intercultural atmosphere. They will bring a diversity and intercultural dimension to the activities, offering to everyone the opportunity to learn about new countries and cultures.

The volunteer will be a support for Pedagogical Center Upendi in carrying out recreational and pedagogical activities for disadvantages children, the promotion of culture and art in all its forms.
Volunteers will be involved in the following activities:
- Laboratories of Circus Art for 7 – 13 years old children
- The clown shows
- Circus arts workshops for 14 – 20 years old youngsters
- Clown Therapy Workshop
- Games and recreational activities for children
- Promotional activities of the centrum
- School support for children
- Workshops to approach new technologies
The centrum will involve the volunteers in a weekly program of activities considering their inclinations and personalities.
The activities are based on the principles of non-formal education and intercultural learning. The variety of activities need a high level of ability to learn to the volunteers.

CONDITION FOR BOTH PROJECT
Venue: Gravina in Puglia
Gravina is located in the southern Italian region of Puglia very close to Altamura and linked with it by many public transport. Gravina is famous for its little streets, amazing view to the archaeological area and an active night life and moreover is known for its big cathedral, many caves which are possible to visit and a big park used by the young people to hang out and organize music and traditional festivals.
Housing: Apartament shared with other volunteers in the city center of Gravina (no single room available).
The volunteers flat of Gravina is settled in the city centre. Volunteers will stay in a dorm with four beds, the flat has a common space (living room) with a beautiful view. There is a bathroom which all volunteers share. There is a kitchen where the volunteers are able to prepare meals on their own and to make lunch and dinner with friends. The house has an independent heating system.
There is also a washing machine. The volunteers is obliged to take care of the house and all included furniture and objects. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to clean the house. In the case that something is broken by the volunteer, or the house is left in bad condition, it is the responsibility of the volunteer to reimburse the organization for fixing or cleaning it.
The flat is supposed to host ONLY volunteers, it is not allowed to host other persons.
Financial conditions: The funds of the ESC program cover 100% of the food and accommodation, give a pocket money to the volunteer which amounts to 115 euros a month, offer a health insurance that reimburses medical expenses during the project and provides language training on a digital platform .
